XPT at Werai

Just catching up on some older photos.  These were from December 2012, taken at Werai, just south of Moss Vale.

THe Power cars were XP2000 and XP2014.  The cars shown are an XF and XFH.

Enjoy

SCF Ultralite

Snapped this a few months back, but saw one the other day and reminded me to post this shot.

This is a SCF Rail Container Ultralite side door container.  The doors are made of a plastic like material to keep the tare weight down and reduce maintenance and damage.

This one is TISD 611096 and has a container type code of 4PG2.

Enjoy!

Aurizon Containers

Managed a few high sun container wagons on a 16 hour last Aurizon BM7 service.  The delay was due to bush fires near Bargo yesterday.

Aurizon side door ASDV 211414.

A pair of Aurizon AFED boxes.  The closest one is 411267.

A newer 40ft AFDB 413095 with orange posts.

The only one on the train - a Royal Wolf Aurizon marked RWTU 941340.

It only clikced with me tonight, these 48ft SCF Rail Containers marked as AEED are indeed marked for Aurizon.  This one is AEED 912379.

A new 48ft AEDB 913037 with orange posts marking the 40ft lift and lock positions.

A QQAY with an assortment of 20ft containers.

QWS001 on a CQGY.  I suspect these are standard gauge wheelsets heading south or west for reprofiling.

Enjoy!

PS6 at Bargo 16/10/2013

Back to a bit or normality with a few photos of PS6 at Bargo this morning.

Quad star NRs on PS6

A rather tatty RLSY (probably 18701) in original Sadleirs livery with the yellow roof.

A good example of a PN liveried RLSY 18695 with replaced louvers and a well weathered (original paint) roof.

A pair of Downer utes from WA.

Another pair of Downer utes (facing the other way).

Unit 48 container.  This is number 51 and doesn't have the logo background.

Unit 48 container with the different colour back ground.  This is number 23.

A rare find, especially from WA!  A QRX toll coloured container. I can't recall seeing any outside QLD in recent years.

A new RAND reefer made by CIMC with a Carrier unit.  RAND 341.

RQDY 60051 with 70T bogies.

Good to see RQEYs back on general intermodal - RQEY 1868.

RQFY 111 with a pair of Linfox boxes.

RRKY 2345 with Aligned bogies.  These always take my fancy.  Something different and rare these days.

To finish is another odd box on the east coast.  The half height Toll box is more at home on double stack services west of Adelaide.

Enjoy!

ARTC LORAM Shoulder Ballast Cleaner #34

Last week I came across ARTC's new Shoulder Ballast Cleaner at Yass Junction.  Below are a few photos.

The overall SBC comprises of four vehicles.  The crew car, flat car, screen car and loader car.  It is a total length of 82.3m and weighs 236t.

A shot of the Screen car with boom - SBC 34S

SBC34C - This was formerly AZTP 400 which was stored at Islington for many years.

The flat car SBC 34F looks to be based on an OCY/NQOY chassis.

While passing through Temora, I noted good ol' NOHF 5201.

Enjoy!
