More Transformers

Another interesting transformer load on SCT last week.

Qube Cargill Conola Train

A Canola job to Kooragang came through Tahmooor the other morning with a somewhat rare leader in GL109.  Most of the GLs these days are stored or on low KM duties.  Along with the GL was RL301 and 1102.

Train 3462 coming through Tahmoor Station

A WGBY with an interesting water stain coming off the roof.

Another WGBY.  Note the new air brake equipment on these.  They recently went from Chinese air brakes to Westinghouse/Knorr WF5 type equipment.

Enjoy!

KENT with incorrect markings

Grabbed these two KENT removal boxes on the weekend, and noticed that one of them has the container code and the owner code in the wrong spots.

This isn't the first time this has been noticed.  I got an SCFU box with the same issue 12 months ago here

Both of these are recent 2018 builds and have the new Kent loco.

KENU 918105-0 with correct markings.

KENU 918163-5 with the incorrect markings.

Enjoy!

  2. FCAD 9106136 (46'6)
  3. FTLD 9106710 (46'6)
  4. FTLD 9106716 (46'6)

SCT's BM9

A couple of shots of SCT's BM9 at Mittagong yesterday.

SCT002 and LDP003 racing through Mittagong station.

One the rear of the train was PQIY 19 with a single flatrack used for moving transformers from Wodonga to Brisbane.  This isn't a regular PQIY on the east coast as it has power cabling for reefer containers from Horsham.

Rebranded Aurizon AEDB container is now SCT NDC 006.

A fully repainted former Aurizon AEDB 916 series container, now with a medium sized SCT logo and numbered SCT NDC 007.

A former Aurizon AFRF 40ft+ reefer with SCT markings and numbered SCTR 157, which is in the current series for SCT 40ft+ reefers.

Enjoy!

Seaco Domestic

I was surprised when I snapped this in January this year.  Normally Seaco boxes (new ones anyway) are standard 22G1 and 45G1 shipping boxes, but this was a domestic CPC style 2EG1 type, similar to other domestic containers (such as Caru CSL)

This one was SEGU 790708-1 and was on a SB service, sighting passing through Newcastle.

I haven't seen one since either.

Enjoy!

Qube Energy

Often there are days or trips where I can end up with 20 or 30 images that I find interesting and process in Photoshop with the intent to share., however the sheer volume and time it takes often means that only a small proportion of my shots are shown.

Here is one I found from back in January.  It is a repainted GVCU open top container repainted in Qube Energy livery.  I recall seeing some of these down at Port of Melbourne recently.

Enjoy!

Cootamundra Loco - Graincorp 48 class

Got a few quick shots at Cootamundra loco this week.  Always like seeing teh light blue Graincorp 48200 class.

A branchline set of quad 48200 class.

48205 with some Aboriginal artwork.

Repainted 48213.

Showing the old road number of 48148, GNC 48214 is looking a little tired.

48215 not looking much better.

A decent stabling of 81 class, most likely due to the down turn in export grain at the moment.

Enjoy!

OOCL Block Loads

A couple of OOCL reefer block loads on Qube's 1311 service last week.

Qube owned LQAY with a 22R1 and 45R1 OOCL reefer.

A block load of OOCL 22R1 reefers on a CFCLA leased CQMY.

Enjoy!

Qube 3112

Some shots of a late running Qube 3112 service passing through Spaniards near Menangle early one morning.

A GESU 22R1 reefer with Marfret markings.  Marfret are a small shipping line (ranked 63rd in size).  This container is either off lease or in an alliance pool with a larger shipping line such as Maersk, ONE, or OOCL.

Enjoy!
