Southern Cross Station

A great afternoon was last last week between 4 and 6 pm.  Stacks of N class and VLocity railcars in and out of the main station in Melbourne.  These shots are from the photographer friendly La Trobe St bridge.

V/Line Cars

A few V/Line cars from last week.  

PH 451, 452 and 453 were all photoed, and all are fitted with new access doors.

Aurizon BM7

A few shots from last week of the Aurizon Brisbane to Melbourne intermodal service.

LDP003 leading a QR coloured LDP.  

Rand reefer ARLS 420.

With a bund capacity of 2700 litres, this box now carried the code BBUU 300162.

Fitted with a side access door is CXU 960930.

Orica sodium cyanide tank ORA 413.

The red has worn off the SCT logo on PBGY 117M.

Loaded QQBY 2053 with a TRDU and ARDU box carrying sodium cyanide.  The middle tank is a cement/flyash tanker.

QQGY 654 loaded with two CRT boxes.

Reefer RAND 239 with a cleaned/serviced reefer unit on the end.

This shot has snuck in from the morning (it was on MB7).  RWXX 442719.

This SCF reefer and the one below are the same but have different logos.  This one is SCFU 814062.

Fitted with a very red logo which is a bit smaller than the reefer prior, this container is SCFU 814067.

New SCFU 48ft Container

A few of these have started to turn up on Aurizon services over the last few days.  They are brand new and continue the 800000 series numbering.  This SCFU 48ft dry box is numbered 415176.  It is 9'10" tall and carries the new mega-large SCF logo.

Red Macfield Box

Bright and early this morning saw Macfield box MGCU 801111 on MB7.  These were formerly blue and a shot of an original one is here.

This box is at least 10 years old but looks good for its age with a repaint!

The weather has been crappy for days, so here are a few from last week when the sun was out.
