POTA BG Wagons

The POTA 'Rice' train from Melbourne to Deniliquin has an interesting assortment of container wagons - all sourced from CFCLA and GWA.  Below is a good assortment of the mix on the train.

AFGF 19 and 3 - The colours cary on these wagons.  Not sure the origins of the all black sides.

 AFGF 17

AFGF 1627 in AN green.

AFGF 1639 in CR red.

Cut down AOOX, AQPY 4009 with the standard orange side sills.  Many once had yellow side sills.

ANother former SA wagon - CQOY 2197.

With Victorian origins, CQRX 317 still carries Metro stickers.

Enjoy!

9325 Empty Grain - 4 Feb 2012

I'm not big on summer photography, but this was an enjoyable chase on the main south.

Here are some shots from the Cullerin Ranges, Collalie and a bit further towards Wallenbean.

Enjoy!

Feb 4th 2012 - 9325 Grain Portraits

9325 empty grain from Inner Habour was a good ticket south last Saturday (4th Feb).  I followed it from Goulburn to Wallenbean.  This post has a few portrait shots.  The next post will have some of the 'nicer' photos.

The consist was entirely NGKF and NGPF with a long VHAF 604 in the guts.  Pretty nice to get a clean green C onteh front!!

Enjoy!

Qube - SQDY

(Note - Looks like this post was never published from back in December 2011)

100 new SQDY wagons arrived from the US a few weeks back.  They were built by ARI for NREC, and are owned by Qube.  The wagons are roughly 45ft skeletal type.

Enjoy!

RRDY 110 - AK Test Wagon

G'day!  It's been a few very busy weeks but I have some shots to share from recent adventures.  Over the next few days I'll post some shots from last week when I was travelling around southern NSW and Victoria.  I'm in Western NSW early this week so will hopefully have some shots when I return.

Photoed in Goulburn was RRDY 110 with the PN test container.  This wagon occasionally gets attached to the AK cars for PN to carry out testing.
