Qube - Goulburn 7/8/11

Still catching up from photos a few weeks old.  Here are a few of South Spur/POTA/Qube wagons in Goulburn Yard.

Leased from CFCLA, CQSY 471 with ore containers. 

Still in Silverton yellow, SQKF 60264.

RKFX Repairs

A bit of damage has resulted in a few unqiue RKFX side panels. 

RKPF Review

No less than four RKPF wagons were on XW4 a few weeks ago.  Here are some photos that provide a good current day contrast.

Of particular interest is the handbrake wheel styles, the lashing bars and the chain boxes.  The mesh deck varies on them as well.

High Cube FCL

Something rather unusual on PS6 a few weeks back  - a rake of about 10 FCL 3.2m high (10'6") containers.  They were loaded onto a low level RRYY and also into a 5-pack well wagon.

The Old Steel Girls

A few 'old girls' still kicking around.  These are from 5/8/11 at Aylmerton on 6NY3.

RKEX 2, with it's unique side walls and a fresh yellow side sill.

Looking very similar to decades ago, RKEX 29 is an original ESX with four end ribs on the bulkhead. 

ROOX 2954 with an Australian National Railways logo board.  Not much has changed on this wagon over 30 years.

RKTF 2163.  Of interest is the middle set of doors which was added.  Note that one of the doors has come from an ANR red open wagon!

NR18 - Fresh Indian Pacific

Went out for a few shots of NR18 on the front of 5NY3.  Managed some shots at Maldon, Bargo, Yerrinbool and Mittagong. 

The better shots are likely to appear in the usual magazines, so I won't put them up on he Blog just yet.
