Pine Tree Hill

A few shots from mid week at a nice little spot near my place. I call it Pine Tree Hill, but it is located on the Mittagong side of Gib Tunnel.

An MZ and GL on an empty wagon transfer to Braemar (Bradken) via Moss Vale.

An UP local pass with 2856 in the lead.

PS6 with two NRs and HL203 on transfer.

HL203.

RQEY 1935 - I believe it is the last RQEY in AN livery.

Customer doors on RLSY 18671

ISHU 480179 (Intermodal Solutions container) which looks to be a repainted Linfox box.

A nest of 5 SCF flat racks on RQFY 19.

Refridgerated liquid Argon in a BOC tanktainer.

XW4

Some more XW4 photos - I'm slowly catching up with the backlog of photos. These are from earlier this week.

An increasingly common occurrence lately is an AN in the shafts of the steel trains.

AN6 with full AN logos. Shame about that poxy PN logo under the cab window.

RKXF 60142

RKMX 222 with XG type bogies, and two HMS scrap bins.

All yellow RKCF 50.

With a yellow bottom half, the top half has been painted dark grey. The wagon is RKCF 33.

The Steaming Pig

3642 headed to Robbo, Via Mossy on Saturday. It got put away while lunch was being served. PW4 rolled through while I was there.

An RV coil container base with "TRIAL" stencilled.

An RKYY from the first series, with a single plate. Maybe a reject?

The Caution board and databoard on RKYY 7096.

XW4

Not a bad combo on XW4 from a week ago.

Ghan AN3 is sandwiched between a pair on PN NRs.

Not and RCDX, but an RKCX. RKCX 4015 is a former AN wagon with full end ribs, unlike most of the RKCX wagons which have ELX origins.

Three different coloured RCKFs 23 in Yellow, 24 in grey amd 18 in red.

NCFF 21605 with different coloured cradles.

PS7

Some photos of PS7 last week.

NR99 and NR91

Inline Fuel tank on RQHY 7072.

A Pedemont and Toll container on a 5-pack end platform

One of only a handful of 24ft container used by PN. This box is PNXC 4605.

RLSY 18710. With three new side panels, it looks like this previous red van was painted grey. Certainly an interesting weathered wagon.

A former TNT bulk container.

A truck skel on a flat rack.

Shell NTAF Tanks

Some photos as requested on a Yahoo Group.

I have posted a small selection of the tanks used by Shell (hauled by Freight Australia).

The block around the 6045-6077 series is pretty common, with all the tanks being a similar design. This would be the biggest group of a standard design tank in NSW. See photos of 6056 and 6057.

The classic blue Beckhaus book has a good section on the road numbers and some wagon data.

2134 Cement

Something different. The Berrima to Clyde cement trains runs around lunchtime 5 days per week. It is often a single 81 and a full load of cement hoppers. I have tried to select a range of colour schemes and build groups in the photos below.

8176 in charge of 27 NPRF/NRPY hoppers. Most are original with two tone blue L7s, and only 5 were repainted white in Freightcorp days.

Approaching Bargo

RKQF 60236 with solid ends to reduce load shifts.

RKHF 20898 with a nicely cleaned HOL METAL sign still attached from it's hot billet days in Newcastle.

Steel Wagons

Just a few unusual steel wagons - shame about the weather!

An RQTY with two butter boxes.

Big plate wagon RKXF 60205

An RKDF with heavily repaired sides. Note the non standard door on the other side of the wagon.

Another repaired RKDF with a load divider.
